Veda

Veda fell in love with yoga in the Spring of 2001. Soon thereafter she began a year an a half intensive teacher´s training, graduating with distinction in 2003, earning a 500 hour certification in Hatha Yoga.  Following the lead of her teachers, Veda teaches gently and with love, with a focus on honoring the body, and the Soul that it carries.  Connection to breath, increasing awareness with out judgement, and delving into all 8 limbs of yoga is her intention in each of her classes.
In 2004, Veda moved from Ontario to British Columbia Canada, where she taught yoga full time for over 5 years.  During this time she was invited to be part of the faculty of the South Okanagan Yoga Association, which allowed teacher trainees to attend her classes to learn to teach and to also be a student of yoga.   She also apprenticed with  Lynn Houle for 6 months, learning the art of restorative yoga.
Winter 2009 brought Veda travelling through Central America, and San juan del Sur grabbed her heart.  She has now returned here to live, to thrive in the sun and ocean, share yoga, and contribute to local sustainability through volunteer work with The World Kids Foundation.
She will be guiding gentle classes at the centre, which will include the exploration of postures, with a strong focus on the meditation and centering elements of the practice.

Katyanna Ryan

Katyanna began her yoga journey studying Hatha Yoga in Hawaii. She has since taught in various locations in the United States including; Hawaii, Washington, and Idaho. After deciding to deepen her practice, Katyanna traveled to India where she studied with various teachers and earned her 200 hour certification under the Himalaya Yoga Valley School in Goa, India. Her training qualified her to teach traditional Ashtanga, Hatha, Pranayama and meditation techniques.
While in India, Katyanna began teaching at a wellness center and also worked teacher training to qualify aspiring teachers for their 200 hour level certification. Katyanna enjoys working with students and is very passionate about finding a union between mind and body. She believes that there is beauty in every posture, regardless of the practitioner´s level.  Her teachings strive for students to work with their bodies and not against them to uncover a deep connection with one´s true self.
